NORTON RADSTOCK PHOTOGRAPHIC SOCIETY
The Society started in 1976 by a group of enthusiasts following an advertisement in the Somerset Guardian for interested amateur photographers. It was decided to form a club, and the name was chosen. The group originally met in the photographic department at the college in Radstock. One of the original enthusiasts is still a member of the society, Mike Witcombe the current secretary.
The photographic department was eventually transferred to Bristol. The society had to move to another venue in the Midsomer Norton and Radstock area. It currently meets at the Midsomer Norton Social Club
The Society is affiliated to the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain as a member of the Western Counties Photographic Federation (WCPF).
