About Us
Meetings are held weekly throughout the year with a break at Christmas and August. The formal programme ceases at the end of May and there are informal excursions during the summer months of June and July. We currently meet on a Thursday from 7.30pm on second and fourth Thursdays at the Masonic Hall in Midsomer Norton, and on all other Thursdays in the programme we meet virtually using Zoom
We welcome photographers of all levels of experience and interest and our aims are to promote the friendly relationship of all photographers, whether amateur or professional and to encourage competitions, hold lectures; give practical demonstrations to inform members of all aspects of photography, either by film or digital means.

We are a small Photographic Society that meets in Midsomer Norton having grown from humble beginnings in 1974. The first Chairperson was Alban Seymour, elected in 1976 and he was succeeded in the 90s by his daughter Margot Witcombe, who remained in the role until March 2019
